Job Summary: 

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assisting Account Executives and Relationship Managers in the decision-making process during credit reviews by analyzing the financial condition of individuals and business entities.

 

Essential Functions:

 

1.        Review, spread and analyze personal and business financial statements and tax returns in preparation for credit requests.  Complete in-depth and accurate credit memorandums to support credit requests.

2.        Assist in the maintenance of the existing portfolio in regards to financial reporting requirements and covenant requirements

3.        Daily functions may include:

  • Order appraisals/environmental reports as necessary.
  • Run credit reports and review for late payments and accuracy in comparison with the personal financial statements.
  • Review tax return transcripts upon receipt.
  • Review and manage pipeline for all upcoming loan maturities.
  • Review files for compliance.
  • Follow up on tickler reports as they pertain to updated financial information/loan covenants.
  • Perform other duties as they pertain to loan closings, such as appraisal reviews, environmental reviews and other such closing requirements.

 

4.        Perform other duties and special projects as needed and assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA in accounting (preferred) or at least 1-2 years of credit analysis experience in a bank or financial services environment
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Strong analytical and research skills required
  • Require the ability to be flexible and work independently
  • The ability to cross sell bank’s products and services to existing clients as well as prospects, growing new profitable relationships by referring opportunities to other parts of the company
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player and Self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Present professional image and work well in a team environment
